How it all began
Since the first time I heard about Mother Teresa while sitting in my 3rd grade classroom at West Union Elementary School, I knew I wanted to be a difference maker in this world. I can still vividly remember the awe and inspiration I felt when seeing the kindness in the eyes of a woman dawning a white veil with blue stripes in one of my history books, and although my path would be much different, I knew then and there that I wanted to be a source of love and compassion in a sometimes dark and lonely world.
Fast forward into adult-hood and I'm definitely no patron saint, but I still have the same love and compassion for humanity and the same strong desire to make the world a better place.
At times in my life I have bounced off track, but I’ve always been able to get back to my center and back to MY BEST LIFE through contribution and compassion. I LOVE MAKING PEOPLE FEEL GOOD. I love being part of the solution. I love when people feel accepted JUST AS THEY ARE. And I especially love when people step into their purpose and passion - LIVING THEIR BEST LIFE DAILY.
At the core of everything I believe - is this movement - centered around the idea that we all have unique gifts, strengths, stories and experiences that make us who we are - and we add value to the world by embracing our differences and celebrating each other.
I feel so incredibly blessed by the amazing life I have, and my love for giving to others has become a burning desire. While I was satisfied through my twenties with touching people’s lives that I could directly impact when they sat in my chair (I was a hairstylist for 13 years), or when I coached volleyball, I realized I’m ready for something much bigger than that now.
I started realizing that I’ve been blessed with this amazing love for people, and I’ve also been a ‘geek’ of the self-help industry my whole life. (Don’t believe me… I had to write my dad a paper at the age of 11 on the 7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens by Sean Covey. Yeah… I was geeking out on this stuff even before I wanted to be.) And I simultaneously started to realize that I want to help people feel good for more than just a day or a couple of hours. I want to genuinely help people live out their passion for life every day!
YOUR BEST LIFE DAILY has been a vision of mine for a long time, but I wasn’t ready to play big yet. I wasn’t ready to have my crap together 100% of the time, and because I wasn’t ready to do that I assumed I shouldn’t even try. But I’ve realized that stepping into our greatness doesn’t mean we don't have bad days or we don’t fall off track every once in awhile. It doesn't mean we aren't afraid. Stepping into our greatness is about taking the first step and taking the risk. It's about choosing to act in spite of our fears. It’s about putting yourself out there, and realizing that we are all imperfect. If perfection stopped Danielle LaPorte or Tony Robbins or Gabby Bernstein or any of the other greats, think of all the lives that wouldn’t have been impacted.
So, I took that leap of faith. I launched YOUR BEST LIFE DAILY, and wonderful things started happening. The response I started receiving was overwhelmingly positive. I have so many exciting workshops, events and plans in the works. And the best part is I am on this journey WITH YOU. While I may really excel in some areas of my life, I know I haven’t been as diligent about others, and I’m constantly striving to find better balance in my life. We all have different aspects of life that are important to us. Some people will find that they want to try to live a really balanced life while others are completely happy and content to focus all their energy and attention to really kicking ass in one area.
Whatever path you want to walk, I'd love to come on that journey with you! I want to help you live life on YOUR OWN terms and truly live YOUR BEST LIFE DAILY. I will be launching many exciting programs in the next 4-6 months, and I can’t wait to share them with you! In the meantime I hope you enjoy the inspiration and connection at YOUR BEST LIFE DAILY.
